Toshiba Satellite p205 shuts down after Toshiba logo

I can get To the setup menu and the boot menu I can even change the boot order but it will not boot from the CD or flash drive. With recovery disk in drive it shuts down before I can even get to boot or setup.

Possible that you have a corrupted BIOS. Look up clearing BIOS to see if it is the right idea for you. Then 'load optimal defaults'.
