Transfering video from camera to computer

i have an old sony 8mm that only has rca jacks coming out of it. i have usb and fire wire ports on my computer. i have some old video i want to transfer to pc anyone of you got any mad knowledge with this. thankz

you'll need an RCA to USB adapter along with software.. I know they exist, but I am not familiar with any name brands.

tones more available, with different connection methods (firewire, PCI etc). google for products like this if you don't live in the US and need to find a local retailer

Some call them video to usb/firewire adapters, capture cards..

hey man i have an ADS analog to USB adapter and I am very happy with how it works. I've been using it with my Hi-8 camcorder for awhile. I'd recommend it. You can buy it from Amazon.com pretty cheap.
