  1. I have a computer that the motherboard crashed, I am trying to install the hard drive into another computer with an existing drive to transfer information from the old drive to the new one. The computer will not recognize the old drive as a slave or master if I only install the old drive, I know it will not see it as a master without formatting it. How can I transfer my information to the new drive. I appreciate any help that can be provided.

You could try making that drive a USB External drive. But question for you?
Does that contain OS if so which one?

The old and new drive both have Win 2000 Pro installed, I am trying to transfer a security program that will take several hours to install manually if I cannot transfer it from the old drive. I appreciate any help available.
    Thanks,Robert
