Tried everything and can't get rid of desktop.

From awhile back, my desktop beecame blue and there was a black box in the middle with big red letters saying DANGER: SPYWARE etc etc. I've tried everything on these sites and others, but now the black box and red letters are gone, but my desktop is still blue and I can't change it. Can anyone help me get my desktop back?

You obviously have some sort of virus/spyware.

Go HERE and follow the instructions exactly.

Then, post a fresh HJT log into this thread, only after doing the above.

Try turning off display of web content on the desktop.

You either have the spysherrif, spyaxe, or other varient of this virus. Read the FAQs on how to remove it.
