trojan horse backdoor.generic2.wpw

Hi,

i really need help, the computer has been infected with a trojan horse backdoor.generic2.wpw virus. i have tried a number of method to try and remve it myself.
the AVG virus scanner comes up on the screen with the resident shield but when you press heal or try to move it to the vault it keeps saying "requested action is not available for this object. acces to the file has been denied"

it says while opening file: c:\windows\system32\pptp16.dllj trojan horse backdoor.generic2.wpw

do you have any idea or anyone know of a way to get rid of this sucker off the computer.
