Hi. Im hopeing that i can maintain some help with my problem.

I'm using microsoft xp profesional, trying to copy an avi extention file to my USB Flash Drive(USB 2.0). The file is located on 'my computer' hard disk drive 'Local Disk ( D: )' the file is 699MB, the flash drive is 1GB(free of storage). when i copy the file i get an error saying 'connot copy NAME OF FILE: connot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name.'
how can i specify the correct path and file name? can anyone please help me solve this problem?

Hello! Welcome to TechSpot!

I think it's either file format diff between NTFS & fat 32
or sharing conflict. Do a share on the source folder and
the same on the usb.

Generally it's usb driver issue

I've done some reading, this is not a sharing conflict.
Generally it's usb driver issue, XP SP2 has the XP usb drivers.

Try this:
I have a usb 2.0 20g mini drive that gave me tha same problem
yesterday, I went to my chipset makers website and got the latest
chipset drivers (my case it's intel). After re-boot XP saw the drive right off.

Others suggest, un-installing (right click) the usb devices in device mgr,
then rebooting. I didn't like this one because I didn't want to hose my
"enhanced usb driver" which is the usb 2.0 driver. They were not clear
on which ones to unistall. :suspiciou

I'm still readding some stuff on this, it can be fixed.
