???Trying to get internet connection working on relocated PC

 I have 4 computers working on a home network, but suddenly one of them stopped accessing the internet. I tried to ping the computer but it didn't respond. I uninstalled/reinstalled TCP/IP, no luck. Hardware profile says the ethernet modem is OK, and the network connection confirms the 10 MBPS link is working (also works fine on other computer when swapped). I tried to IPCONFIG/RELEASE and then RENEW, but message comes back saying 'All adapters bound to DHCP do not have DHCP addresses. The addresses were automatically configured and can not be released.'
NortonAntivirus was shut off as last resort but to no avail, still no access.
There is no software firewall running. I tried restablishing internet connection but it didn't work.

I'm stumped, but I'm sure this is an addressing type problem, since the links work fine, the computer modem is not too old. I running Windows 2000.

Any ideas on how to make this computer see the internet??? Thanks.
