I was wondering, does a blog for TS staff sound like an appealing idea to you?

If so, how do you think we should implement it? Using standard blogging software? embedded within vB? other?

Wouldn't that be achieved by giving the frontpage news posters a little more more "freedom" as in a few rants here & there amongst news items for example ?

That is not desirable Didou, we do not want this site to turn into The Inquirer or Hardocp, not that there is anything wrong with those two sites (I read them daily) but TS is supposed to have it's own feel if you know what I mean...

But yea Julio, a blog would be cool...

So how would that work ? Would it be another area of the site that simply has a link on the frontpage ?

If you're considerign external blog sites, you have Blogger (which I use) & LiveJournal. Both come with blog templates but you are free to customize them any way you please.

A good example of their flexibility is Oneryboy's Blog which has the same look as the Orneryboy website.

Keep in mind you can have blogger generate the files and upload them to your server too.. it doesn't have to be hosted on their terms.

A seperate blog from the front page would be nice. Although I note that Phant editorializes a little in MS security issues. ;)

I'd like to see a little more personality in some of your posts from time to time, so that blog may be a good avenue.

Maybe just set up a seperate thread/forum for Staff posting?

You can also use WordPress which uses PHP/MySQL.
