Tuning my pc

I have just came into possesion of a Packard Bell PB9401 pc and wish to do a bit of tuning on it.
It has only 32MB of RAM, 4Mb set to shared video RAM, a 4GB hard drive and a AMD-K6(tm)-2/400 Mhz processor.

I have already got myself 2 x 128 Mb of SDRAM to replace the 32MB along with a 40Gb HD to replace the 4Gb.

This will be a good start but I would also like to increase the speed of the processor. Can any one tell me how to go about this. Also is it possible to replace the processor on the mother board or for this old a PC would it be better to get a new mother board.

Thanks for your help.

Tony.
