TV tuner help please!

    Hi there! This is nothing urgent but it IS fairly annoying.

    I use a headset on my PC. Recently, even though my TV Tuner is off and all the programs related to it are closed, I still can hear the TV in the backround. (I'm positive it is the TV and not another program)


    Anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this?

    I had this problem with my radio tuner. The problem was that the radio program did not truly turn off the device - it just set the volume to "0" (which obviously wasn't).

    Does the sound from your TV card run to the "line in" input in your soundcard? If yes, then you can use any volume control app to mute the line-in channel of the soundcard and get true silence.
