Typed letters dissapering.....

Sometimes while using notepad....

If I decide I need to insert additional text...or correct spelling...

I place the cursor where I want it...and as I type......the next letter dissapears.....

Usually I just start the whole segment over...

Can anyone help me resolve this....????

turn autodelete/autoinsert off or on. Press the insert key.

I know what you mean and it's very frustrating when it happens, especially the first time

Press the "Insert" button on your keyboard. It will be next to "Delete" between the qwerty part of your keyboard and the number pad. They cleverly put it on the edge next to the enter button so it's really easy to press it by accident
