Unable to open task manager or add/remove programs.

Ok guys this is driving me insane !

I'm pressing ctrl+alt+delete to open task manager and it doesn't open. The little icon goes down into the systray but im unable to open it. I've also realised that add/remove programs does not open.

I frequantly need to use task manager and im dying cause I cant use it please show me the way to HELP !

The obvious possibility is spyware.Check out these two threads,and,if necessary,post an HJT log.
