Uninstall Google Chrome on Windows 7

I am trying to uninstall Google Chrome on Windows 7 home premium. So far no success - message appears telling me to "please close all Google Chrome windows & try again".
Used the control panel method and CCleaner - same message.

I have tried searching for an answer and cannot find one - wonder if I need to improve my search technique as I am sure that I'm not the first to experience this problem !

Call up "Task Manager" and see if Google Chrome is still listed as running "Processes". Right Click on Taskbar will give an option to "Start Task Manager".

Hi, There is an extra page of info about this if the 'normal' control panel uninstall routine doesn't work. (BUT read the info in red first...... otherwise REVO uninstaller should do the job, and it would be my first choice for a 'tricky' uninstall.)

Thanks, I tried this, but for some reason the link before the " rename file as remove.reg" did not provide a file to save. Will try again, but my priorities are now with a malware issue I will post in another thread. :'(
