Most of these problems arised when I replaced a microsoft wireless keyboard with a logitech wireless keyboard. Is there any way I can completely uninstall the hardware/drivers from the microsoft keyboard to make sure there is no compatibility issues or driver problems or is it too late if its not plugged in anymore...

if you were using microsoft intellipoint and intellitype drivers they should show up in your add/remove programs panel. or in your program files.

In Device Manager, tick the "show hidden devices" in View menu. Now you can see the things that are not attached to the system at the moment.
