    Dear all,

Has anyone ever encountered a virus that put password automatically to Word document without our knowledge of what the password is?
Some of my friends are having this problem. When they create a new document on Microsoft Word (XP, Win 2000) and save it. Next time they open it it ask for password and they are 100% sure they have not put one.
We suspect it's Virus but we cannot see any strange file or application in System, drive C or any other drive that usually affect with virus. We also try to scan with AVG but still no result.
Can anyone please help me identify this thing and the way to cure it? Any hope that the document with password unknown can be open?

    Thanks,

    Rasmey

Post a HJT log for us to see if there's anything wrong.
