  1. Hi there,

I am in the process of deciding two upgrade options I am either going to replace my CPU or Graphics Card.

Here are my current system Specs:

    Intel Celeron D 2.8GHZ
    Asus AS8-V Motherboard
    1GB DDR400 RAM
160GB PATA 8MB CACHE Hard Disc
ATI Radeon 9250 AGP Graphics Card 128mb memory

    I am considering either a P4 3.0GHZ CPU I think it is classed as a P4 630 with 2MB cache or a Geforce 6600GT Graphics card with 256MB memory AGP 8

My use for my system is playing Games such as Unreal. At the moment, the games get slow when there is more action.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Looks like both are in serious need of an upgrade. But if I had to guess, I'd think you'd find more advantage out of upgrading the video card.

Ok thank you for your advice.

The geforce 6600GT card should be a big improvement on my previous card looking around on the internet. I will then ditch the celeron in favour of a fully fledged cpu.
