Upgrade for Biostar m7vkd

A friend of mine has a failed Biostar m7vkd---at least I'm 90% sure its the board---I have tried everything else---except the processor itself
Can you recommend a cost effective upgrade for this board as I am struggling to find an exact match to buy---and come to think of it an upgrade at roughly the same price for one of these dated old boards seems to make sense
