Upgrade to a turtle

Hi

I upgraded my PC to an amd athlone 2400 256k ddr ram.
But my p2 350 mhz was faster.I have a via kt600 based mother board.In the Bios my prosessor frequensy is set to 133 (do not know if it is the right setting) .When I run my win sys info it says that I Have a authentic amd athlone 2000 in with al the other things showing the right info. The mayn problem I amm having is that every time i start a program or game it takes for ages to load . If any body can shed some light on this I would appriciat it. If you need more info (with in limmts let me know and i will give it to you

Did you just swap the motherboard in that PC?
If so, you will need to reinstall everything, as Windows is still trying to match up old drivers from your old motherboard to the new motherboard. That is causing your delay.
Backup your personal files, then reinstall Windows, install the new drivers from the motherboard-CD and do all the necessary Windows- and program-updates.

Here's a very good thread explaining how to make the switch between two motherboards without reinstalling Windows. It has a very good chance of working but nothing is 100% sure except reinstalling Windows & starting from scratch like RBS said.
