I've been wanting to upgrade my graphics card for some time now. I first looked into the Ati 4850. Looks great. Then the 5770 released and I chose that over the 4850. Now, Nvidia has released their new fermi cards and I keep reading bout the majority of the remaining 400s releasing during the summer.

Current specs:
Mobo: Dell 0R849J (Bios A03)
CPU: Intel Core i7 920 (2.6ghz no oc capabilities due to mobo)
RAM: 4x1g samsung m378b2873eh1-cf8
Graphics: Ati Radeon HD 4350
PSU: Delta 350w

I've already got a psu chosen I just don't want to buy it without a real need for it (new graphics card). Chosen psu: Corsair TX750
Got bout $200 to spend on a new graphics card.

So wait or go ahead with the 5770? Also, if anyone got a better suggestion than the 5770 please say so.

The XFX HD 5770 has a Lifetime limited Warranty while the SAPPHIRE Vapor-X HD 5770 only has a 2 year Warranty. i always go with Lifetime limited Warranty

there is about a 17% performance gap between the 5830 and the 5770, it costs about $60.00 for the 17%.

The corsair 550w is probably around $70 now, that saves maybe $20. If you still don't have the money for a 5830, I suggest you wait a little bit until you do, the performance is worth it imo.

I'm definitely waiting till about middle of May. I might go with the 5830 now but what's the size (I have a small case) and does it cool well with it's own cooling system?

imo opinion i say grab the 4890 and say the corsair 650 psu great combo also the 4890 can be overclocked like crazy and it as fast as the 5830. also the 5830 is the same length as the 5870 which is dumb and also about 11 inch long
