Hello all, im currently working on my building my 1st computer. Being my 1st im tryin to use as many parts from my existing comps as possible (keeping the cost low an in the event it dosent work my wife wont kill me because i didnt spend very much) i plan to use this memory(Corsair CMX512RE-3200LLAW 2x512) in my new one .Im ordering new memory to replace that since its my gaming cpu id like to upgrade to 2gb of memory. This is what im interested in (CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 433 (PC 3500) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model Twinx2048-3500LLPRO)

My question it says pc3500 can i use that?
Heres my mobo :Asus Sk8n
Or can i only use with pc3200?

Are u sure ur M/B is Asus Sk8n? I can't find it in newegg, or maybe u mean Asus K8N? What is ur CPU? If it's AMD then max memory clock it can use is 400MHz (PC 3200).

U can use higher clock memory, but ur M/B will only recognize it as 400MHz, so I think u'd be better off buying a 400MHz memory.

An thanks for replying Otmakus

Mechachrome, it is sk8n and it works in pc 3200 max. So i agree with otmakus, buy pc 3200 memory. :grinthumb.
If you still don't sure, you should contact ASUS support.
unfortunately the mobo doesn't have pci-express.. :p
