Upgrading RAM

  1. Hey everybody. My question is this, is there a certain type of ram that I would have to buy to upgrade it or doesn't it matter. Because I though I heard that there are systems that can't use certain types of memory, I just want to know so I can go out and buy it as soon as possible. Thanks.

    yes "choose wisely" is becoming common with ram nowadays. since you havent posted your computer info i cant really tell you what is best. however know this, if pairing sticks, try your best to keep them in the same brand and memory size. dont mix and match in other words.

    go for the big brands

    get corsair, kingston, or ocz RAM
    yes you should post your system specs
