USB Drive flashes when installed will not format

  1. I have a 2gb flash drive that has been a pain since I bought it. It is a Power Up Speeddrive. I have reformated it once and it worked fine for awhile. It's newest trick is that when I plug it in to a computer (I have tried a number of them) the drive letter flashes and is not properly recognized. Since the computer does not regonize the drive, I cannot access it to reformat it or determine what is on the drive - if anything. Any suggestions for getting the drive to cooperate and allowing the computer to recognize the drive?

    no luck

No luck. I can get the disk manager to come up but it will not recognize the drive. When I go into my computer the drive will flash on and off but it will not allow me to format. Any other ideas?

Have you tried putting it into a different computer?
