Im having problems on one of my computers getting my USB pen drive to work. The drive works on all of my other systems with no problems. The system it doesnt work on is running windows xp proffesional. It has two hard drives as well as to CD drives. The USB drive and the floppy drive both are recognized by the computer, but when I go to my computer and try to open the drive it says "F: (or a:) not accessable, inccorect function". The usb ports are working fine (tested using a USB mouse). I have also tried reinstalling the USB controller and the floppy controller in device manager. Could it be an IRQ conflict or something like that? Thanks in advance.

Do you use any Nero or Norton products? Or any other sotware running close to hadware like CD recording, antivirus, disk imaging?

Try removing disabling those and see if it gets better.
