USB Drive - Missing

Hi All,
I’m trying to use a drive from an ‘old’ pc via a USB port. I’ve installed the drive, set as master in a Smart Drive housing HD6-U2. The drive shows on Device Manager under Disk drives along with the two main drives fitted in my machine. Opening up Explorer it is not listed. Any idea how I can get it to show? Thanks in advance for your help.

select assign device a letter in disc management.
once it does, it is usable.

This of course assumes the drive is formatted.

Hi and thanks Tedster,for the speedy reply. The Change drive letter under Computer Management is in greyed out although the drive is shown. The only available option is Delete partition which I do not want to do if possible as the drive (I hope) contains data. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
