USB Drive Problem

I have a Sony USB 4GB flash drive. Windows XP SP2 recognizes this drive as "Generic USB Flash Drive" and it is displayed in Windows explorer as E:\drive, But When I try to access this drive it says "Please insert a disk/ media". It does the same on other PC's. I have done every tricks I know of to no avail.
Help me please

That a jump drive (the type you were around neck)? Or those SD 4GB?

How recently did you buy it? Is it under warranty, or can you RMA it?

Some Jump Drive work and some don't . Pickup an LG 2GB once and it didn't work all the time.

PNY and Memorex Travel Drive works perfect and I would recommend those. Scandisk also works too. PNY is cheaper than the other two. You can get 1GB, 2G, 4GB, I think they have 8GB out also?
