    Hi All,

Recently I have taken a MP3 USB Flash Drive of 256 MB. The first day I copied some Files into it. When I opened the Drive to copy the files that I had copied into it, I saw some file names with junked/chinese characters. I tried to delete those files but i could not as the message displayed was 'invalid file name, can not find the location'. Then I formated the Flash Drive into FAT16. And when i opened that drive again I have only 119MB visible space and the rest space is not visible at all.

Can any body suggest me to get back the entire 256 MB space into my Flash Drive?

    Thanks in Advance.

    Regards,

256MB is decieving marketing that doesnt match the real world space you expect. Its basically the difference of decimal system vs binary. However FAT16 is not very effecient in terms of space allocation either. Try formatting with ext2 or NTFS depending on your OS.
