usb generic driver missing message - help!

  1. fayrewood Newcomer, in training

    Installing ( trying ) a hp all in one, getting no joy only the following message:

    the following file does not exist

    c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\usbccgp.sys

    any ideas where i can get this and how to repair my poor sys?

    would be grateful as i am now way beyond my safe operating enviroment!

    do you have the latest service pack? Should be drivers there. OR try goin to the usb website they may have them, forgot the link though :dead:

    i found the file you need, but you will have to sign up for driver guide. Its free and easy, but not all files are good some may be viruses!!! Make sure you have somthing like avg. click here hope the link works :bounce:
