hi there,

I am running Windows XP home edition and I'm having a problem with USB ports. All of a sudden USB ports ain't detecting anything on my samsung x10plus.. all was fine - USB mouse, card reader, flash drive all were working abosolutely ok untill just now when i smelled somthing like burning inside the machine while composing an email through outlook express , I immediately powered off the machine using the power button instead.. and a while later when switched it back on, the system wasnt reading usb optical mouse, the mouse red light is lit but unfortunately the windows isn't detecting it... i've restarted the machine several time but still it doesn't work.. I tried to plug it in another usb slot but still nothing happened. I also tried to plug in some other devices but windows is not detecting any devices..., the devices are getting power as the optical mouse red lamp is on however it's not detected on the system.... same case with a usb card reader.. when plug in the the red light of the reader is ON however it's not detected on the system..

I did check the device manger and all the USB root hubs' status are fine.
And also there are no exclaimation marks appearing.....
