Users32.exe hijacking Task Manager

Hi there-
A trojan was downloaded to my computer. I've researched the net and found the users32.exe is the issue. It's the worm that hijacks your browser...well, you guys probably know this already .

ANyway, I'm trying to follow some directions I found to uninstall it. They call for ending certian processes and then cleaning out the registry. Problem is, my task manager is somehow getting hijacked. I cannot click anywhere on it (right click in the list of processes) to end a task, however all the other menus function. This is driving me batty.

Anybody have any alternate tips? I cannot even connect to the internet to download a spyware program, as the browser gets hijacked.

Can you boot into safe mode with networking?

That might enable you to sort something out.

At some point you will need to go HERE and follow the instructions.

Then, post a fresh HJT log into this thread.
