Using DAP on Vista

Hi I have been trying to use Download Excellerator (latest 8.5) on Windows Vista Premium (it worked fine on XP). The only way I can get it to work is by turning off User Account Control, even thought I set the program to run as Administrator. This is not ideal as disabling User Account Control is a globle setting for that user. Does anyone know how to make settings under User Account Control for just one program? I would of tried to use secpol.msc but it appears that it does'nt come with Vista Premium. Any help or advice appriciated.
