Using Firefox instead of Explorer

I really like using Firefox but I have some programs that when I boot them up they go to Explorer instead. Can anyone help me in changing this over? Thanks in advance.

You can set Firefox as your "default" browser, that should take care of most of it. Do this with this file path; "Tools" (in menu bar); "Options" ( in dropdown menu) >> "Advanced" Tab (of options panel) then >>"General" tab, "system defaults" then check "always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup", and click the "check now" button.

You may also need to venture into IE to disable it as your default browser, but of this I'm not certain.

If you use a web based Email, your computer will always launch the browser that the account is associated with. (when you try to Email something, even from the alternate browser.(obviously)).

If you really want, you can uninstall Internet Explorer. That would keep it from coming up forever.
