UT2003 Umod prob

    Basically the umod did'nt have the black and gold icon next to it...

    so it asked which program to associate with this type of file..

    i chose the UT2003.exe program ...unfortunately 'always choose this program for this type of file' was checked so now all it does is try and run UT2003 and fails:(


    I've tryed using UTregfix.exe to sort this problem but no luck yet..


    somebody please help !!!

    i cant run mods or mutators !!!!

    open up any folder
    click on tools>folder options
    click on file types.
    find umod in the list. if it is not there click new. make the extention "umod" (no quotes)
    go to advanced.
    set the action to "Install this UT2K3 Module" (minus quotes).
    set the action to take as:

    "C:\UT2003\System\Setup.exe" install "%1"

    including speech marks. (change path if different)
    save. THE SPEECH MARKS ARE IMPORTANT IN THIS ONE. change the path if necessary but you must have
    "..........\system\setup.exe" install "%1"

    I snagged that info from voxmail2003's UT geocities page, but I think it should work okay with UT2K3 also.

    It turned out all i had to do was associate the file with 'system'
    in the list of applications....doh !!
