I was just wondering what people thought was better....vBulletin or phpBB...I run a forum off of phpBB 2 software, and I'm happy with it...especially with the release of version 3...which looks eerily like VB :suspiciou...

I heard that phpBB is based off of vB so I guess that would explain the similarities. If that's true, then I like vB better, because I dislike copycats.

I am an admin on a phpBB forum and it does look a lot like vB. I can't say which is better, I like them both. It's kinda like asking who was a better guitarist, Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn. I think its a matter of personal preference. What is the name of the forum you are running if I may ask?

I don't know if there's that much difference. I like vB a little better, but you have to pay for it, so I would probably just use phpBB if I was doing a forum.
