Verifying Dmi Data Pool.... Problem!! New Build.

DMI POOL DATA PROBLEM. help me before I kill
Here's the chronological run down:
1.built new comp.
2.powered up and got the BOOT FAILURE INSERT OS DISK message.
3.inserted disk.
4.got error message during windows install NO HARD DISK FOUND. WINDOWS CAN NOT CONTINUE SETUP.
5.powered down and check connections
6.all connections seated firmly
7.powered up and got message VERIFYING DMI POOL DATA..... and then nothing.
8.got out manual to verify connection ports.
9.hard drive connected to SATA2 instead of SATA1 on motherboard.
10.switched connection point.
11.powered on got message VERIFYING DMI POOL DATA... and then nothing.


Your help is appreciated,

Windows won't recognise SATA controllers without drivers which need to be installed from a floppy duriing the Windows install. Your motherboard should have come with a floppy disk with these drivers on them, else you can download them.

While installing Windows, fairly early on in the install process there will be a message near the bottom of the screen telling you to press F6 now to install 3rd party RAID drivers. At that point press F6 and pop in the floppy disk..

Windows will then find your hard drives and continue to intall.
 
my abit AN8 didn't need the raid disk since all I was doing was using one sata, newer boards already are set up for sata. My msi neo2 plat. didn't either. Go into bios and make sure your sata options (if you have them) are enabled and then auto detect the drive.
