  1. I need some help. My computer is running very slow with Windows XP. It takes forever to open a file. I started noticing problems with my left click button on my mouse first if this helps at all. I ran hijack this. My log is attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have run all of the Windows updates and have Norton 2006 and MS Antispyware installed.

Is there a specific reason why you're using the indexing service? It slows the computer down a lot at least when it's generating the index - and possibly after that as well, thanks to less-than-perfect file & memory caching in Windows.

    I'd fix these:

    F3 - REG:win.ini: load=??? ??? ??? ? ? ?????
    F3 - REG:win.ini: run=??? ??? ??? ? ? ?????

Thanks for the Help - Mictlantecuhtli's

My computer seems to be running much better now. It is still maybe slightly slower that it had been. Also, this may be unrelated to the virus issues but my left click on my mouse to open files is not working. I've looked at all the settings and switched mouses and nothing seems to work.

Attached is my updated hijack this log.
