    I'm trying to determine some common traits that lead to these infections and loss of your time.
    It would be very helpful if you would report the items below which are true about your system and its usage.

    I have a firewall but can't configure it so I don't use it yes [ ] no [ ]
    I am running an anti-virus product yes [ ] no [ ] if yes, which one ___
    My AV product also scans my email yes [ ] no [ ]
    I use the Microsoft Auto Update to keep my system current yes [ ] no [ ]
    I run Microsoft Update manually yes [ ] no [ ]
    My email is accessed using my browser yes [ ] no [ ]
    I also use a pop3 email client yes [ ] no [ ]
    I use some form of P2P file sharing, eg Limewire, Torrent yes [ ] no [ ]
    I play online games with friends yes [ ] no [ ]
    I play online poker yes [ ] no [ ]
    I view adult material yes [ ] no [ ]
    
    Use the QUOTE button to acquire the questionaire and then fill-in the information. (hint: remove the quote tags)

    My AV product also scans my email yes [ ] no [x ]

    personally im pretty sure its the adult material that got me abebot popups. i use a private tracker for my torrent downloads so im pretty sure im safe there.


    i use windows live mail. i dont use my browser to get to hotmail. and i dont think hotmail is pop3.

    @Ryan you have since changed from windows firewall right? Also we never cleaned up/ finished checking your logs/made final suggestions for you
