Hello,

I have a Ati mobility Radeon 9700 Series Video Card however lately when I have been playing some of the newer games the graphics seem choppy. Is there a way to increase the performance of my graphics. Attached are my computer spec's. I believe I have the latest driver download right off the Dell website.

Questions
1. is it time for new video card
2. any hardware I can upgrade to make my gaming experience better.
3. Time for new computer
4. Can i overclock the CPU or video card to get better Graphics
5. any Ideas

A Mobility Radeon is a chip on the motherboard, not a card. You are probably maxed out at 2GB system RAM, but you may be able to increase the video memory from 128MB by checking and adjusting the video settings in the bios

I checked the BIOS. Video memory was set to 128 MB I didn't see any place to increase it. I will check again

There is one other thing to try... increase the virtual memory by going into Control Panel, System, Advanced. I've done this on desktops, but never a laptop

Most laptops can only go so far in playing today's games. You can buy very expensive laptops designed for game playing. Your Dell is probably maxed out as much as it can be. Good luck
