Video card configuration

  1. well i installed my video card and my dvd drive succesfully but it when i put dxdiag and cpuz it looked like the same video card as the one before and they cant be the same because one is bigger than the other could it be that i have an internal video card or something thats causing me problems

    have you updated drivers? does CMOS check components every startup (most likely yes) does bios say you have a new video card? have you ever heard of the ' . ' (period)?

    You need to disable your onboard driver via the BIOS. Check your motherboard manual on how to do so.

    ok wheres my motherboard manual cause i dont think i have one. and where can i update my driver and its a used video card from my brother so i really dont know what video card it is. if you know in online manual or somthing please tell me. and no it didnt say i have a new video card or anything

    If you have Win XP you can goto Start -> Run... and type: dxdiag post the result of that and ill look it up. also post graphic info.
