Video Card or CPU lag or neither?

Every 3 seconds or so I lag on any online game that I play. When I go on my other computer with the same online games I do not lag at all. Is there a way I can fix that problem on my other computer? does it have to do with the cpu or video card at all? or is it the internet connection?

ok so here are the specs:

Motherboard: MSI k9n sli platinum
Ram: DDR2 2x512mb 240 Pin PC4200 Dual Core
CPU: AMD A64 3500+ AM2
Video Card: EVGA GF7600GT 256 PCI-E
HD: Maxtor 200gb SATA 7200 rpm
Power Supply: 450 watts built in power supply.
OS: Windows XP SP2 Home Edition

Internet:
SBC Yahoo DSL with Linksys Wirless router model #BEFW11S4

You don't tell us how the computers connect to the internet or if they connect differently to one another.

You also give us no information about the computer, such as the specifications, operating system etc.

If you could give us these, it can help us to determine the problem.
