  1. Alright im buying a new video card.. What I dont get is the difference between these two cards.

Sapphire ******** 9800 Pro 128mb ddr (Or whatever its called)

    And

Ati Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb ddr

Also what does the Pro do? Just an increase in the price?

Basically no difference. Just manufactured/built by different companies. It doesn't matter which one you get, but I'd say Sapphire is pretty good. ATi would be the best bet if you want it from the manufcturer.

Pro is basically a little bit more powerfull.

So if I go pro or not with the sapphire will it make a difference?

No. Basically they may build the cards to different looks and such, but they still use the same GPU chip for the video card. They both aim to accomplish the same goal.

I had a choice between a ATi Radeon 9700 Pro and a Saphire Radeon 9700 Pro... I picked Saphire cuz it looked kinda cool. :grinthumb

I go for a Saphire Radeon 9700 Pro if i were you. This ya able to get similar performance but at a cheaper price as ATI tend to place the prices of their cards higher.
