Vine has updated its iOS app with the ability to follow specific channels, iOS 8 share extension support, as well as full support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

You'll no longer have to follow individual creators or browse channels, as the updated app now lets you follow specific channels like Comedy, Animal, Art, and more. After you select a particular Vine channel, just tap the new “+” button at the top of the channel (shown in the screenshot below) to get the best Vines handpicked by the editors from that channel right in your home feed.

Back in August this year, Vine rolled out an update that allowed users to upload clips from their camera roll, but that requires the app to be open. However, the latest update  brings iOS 8 share extension support, allowing you to share videos directly from your camera roll or other video apps without having to open the Vine app. In case you don’t see the Vine option in the list of available services, just tap the More button and add Vine from the activities menu.

There is also good news for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus owners: the app has now been optimized for the new iPhones’ larger displays. The latest release is available for download here.
