Virus alert

hi. i tried to download some avi decompressor and suddenly my start menu is missing some buttons, there is "VIRUS ALERT!" sing next to the clock, task manager is disabled and i have many popups from some "antivirus programs" that i'm not even using telling me to scan my computer and trying to access the internet. i would appreciate any help. thanks

Whatever you downloaded was full of malware. You need to download a program called MalwareBytes and run it on your infected PC. Let it delete everything it finds, reboot, and you should be fine

Probably fake alerts. Run your AV program. Don't believe fake bsod screens. Let the AV program run to completion.

I suggest your consider Malware Removal Procedure

Re-read post. Task Manager is disabled - expert help is needed. A second computer may create copies of needed programs to be loaded on the infested computer.
