Virus disabling wireless network and login to unsecure websites

  1. Has anyone ever heard of a virus that disables a wireless network and disables login to any unsecure websites? I can't login to hotmail or ebay, but am fine on secure sites like Amazon. Also our wireless network has been unable to connect for a week or so for no reason at all. I'm stumped - can anyone help?

    hi blondeema.welcome to techspot.
if you think that you may a victim of malware CLICK HERE.
note: you must change the name of 'hijack this', and place it in its own folder within prog files or my docs. scan with hjt and post the log it will produce, in text form attachment and not a paste.

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT and AVG Antispyware logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

    Regards Howard
