  1. Hi, I have just built a new media centre and when I try to install Windows Vista Home Basic 32bit the computer gets this message after installation

"The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected
Error. Windows Installation cannot proceed,. To install Window, click
“OK” to restart the computer, and then restart the installation"

The is the spec for the computer
    Jetway J7F5M-DVI mini-ITX motherboard
    integrated CPU & Graphics
    1GB DDR2 Ram 533MHz
    Thermaltake Retractable Touch Screen Monitor
    All-in-one Card Reader
    250W Power Supply

I can get to the BIOS and I can start installation, the computer then restarts a couple of times and then when it says Windows Setup it appears with that message.
    Can anyone help please?
    Thanks

Since you can get into Bios OK I would suggest running a Ram check.

That error is quite common when you have faulty installation media, especially if you downloaded it and burned it at max speed. if that is the case then try burning image at 4x.
