Vista killed my keyboard :(

So the other day I went to turn on my vista computer and acidently pressed the discovery button on the bottom of the keyboard during the boot and once windows booted only the mouse works and the keyboard wont. bluetooth devices only discovers the mouse now

the keyboard is Microsofts keyboard elite for bluetooth and the mouse and keyboard run off the same usb bluetooth piece so any ideas on why this happend?

also i tryed connecting the keyboard to a XP computer and same thing (only mouse works)

Is there any warranty on the keyboard/mouse?

doubt it and also compusa is where I got it and they went out of business
