  1. (HARDWARE?) I tried to click Create Thread & it told me to choose a prefix, that has never happened before)
A friend has Vista on his desktop & was wondering how/if it is possible to put my W7 OS on his Vista.
Of course he'd have to buy the disc(s) to do such if. TIA :) If it matters, I have RAID on my W7.

History has shown this is doable, but most often successful when it's done as a clean install, ie, reformat the target HD and perform a fresh install - - you will need a new product key to activate the system (ie can't reuse yours).

If they are going to have to buy a disk, they might as well go ahead and buy Windows 10 instead.

That is why he & I got talking so he'd be able to upgrade for free. If it can't be done, no big deal. :)
