Vista Ultimate problem

  1. On my labtop, I have Windows Vista Ultimate. Not a virus either. [Scanned with Norton and Malware bytes]

So anyway, whenever I google something and click on a result, it redirects me to a different page other then what I clicked on! Usually it's like a pop-up site like Cursormania or a dating site.

Any suggestions? I can still type in the URL at the top and get the page intended, but not through search engines. [I tried MSN Live search, Dogpile, Ask, Google, and Yahoo!]

You are infected despite that both Norton and Malwarebytes say otherwise. When a computer shows the behavior of redirection such as you have it means infection. Regardless of how good your software security is a person's intenet habits can override it.

Go to the Virus and Malware removal forum here at TechSpot and read thouroughly the 8 Steps sticky. If you so choose to follow these steps make sure you do them all in the order as given. Don't skip any steps. Then post there with the logs they require. Good luck.
