Vista uninstall

how do i even begin to uninstall vista ?
i am not a complete ***** but i have no idea where to start is there a special process to follow that is different from an XP format for example ?
i read something about vista pro boot .. is this necessary?
any comments or advice would be most appreciated..

If you're going back to Xp, just format. You really should remove the partition too (performed from the Windows Xp install, innitial steps)

i am not going back to xp persay... this laptop came preinstalled with vista and i don't know where to begin to format it ...
