Voodoo4 resolution problem...

    resolution problem...

    hi I have a voodoo4 video card and im having problem to settings the resolutions on this card i want to change to 800x600 but it wont do it he is on 640x480 my pc its a generic i made it
    she's using a PIII 1GB a mobo fic FA15T with 256MB crucial ram inboard sound and the new seagate ultra ata 4 20GB.any susgestion about it i apreciated...

    Are you trying to change it with the 3dfx manager, or with the standard desktop properties?

    What Os are you on?
    Have you installed drivers for the vid.card?
    Have you installed drivers for the monitor?
    What colour count are you trying to use?

    With that info I should be able to make a more educated guess.. :)

    It may be your monitor driver not allowing the video card to go above the default 640x480. Please respond back with answers to Mr.G's questions so we can better help you.

    I agree with svtcobra. My father had the same problem with his voodoo 3. You have to get the model maker and model number of your monitor and go to their website (if they have one) and get the proper monitor *.inf file
