VX922 or VP930B?

Mar 29, 2006
  1. I've decided to buy a monitor sometime back, but I decided to wait a few months for the price to drop.

Now that it kinda has, I've narrowed the selection down to these 2 monitors.

The VX922 (both monitors are Viewsonic btw) is a juicy choice for me, the 2ms refresh rate would make my gaming experience enjoyable.

However, the better colour quality and view angle is a huge plus on the VP930B, since I watch movies as well (or will) on my monitor. My TV is a 23" museum piece.

    What do you guys think?

Price range, the VX922 is about $100 cheaper, but thats not an issue.

Looks like there's no preference from you guys here...

will be getting the VP930B as soon as uni is done (in about 4 hours time).

Bought the VP930B. I still think that CRT's rule.

I must say this monitor comes pretty close to CRTs in terms of colour, but when it comes to refresh rates, it sux.

And for some reason, with X3: Reunion, looking at faraway stations is a problem. There is also a small tendency to go greenish. Detectable only when I put a greyscale on. Probably needs abit of calibrating.
